ITS A LATE POST! SORRY FOLKS! AUGUST 2026 PRES. MESSAGE!

We had 97 attendees with 220 active members. Almost half of the members attend each month. AWSOME! It's been a crazy month for this state that we live in. First it burnt to the ground. The it got washed away. In lieu of that we need the members comments on any information on what our claims look like at this time. #3,4 and 7 got hit with some run off providing some water once again and Crescent Creek is still under water. With the heavy rain that happened down in Southeast Utah. If anyone has feet on the ground reports, please text one of us or let us know at the meeting on Tuesday! Thanks!

 

All of the claims have been refiled with the counties and are getting finished up with the BLM. And should be good to go for another year. We have two spots that have opened that need to be filled asap. One Ric is stepping down as claims manager and second is Matt our webmaster. Both need to be filled ASAP! Webmaster quicker than claims. Please inquire at the meeting and let us know if you are interested. Thanks!

 

Please have cash when acquiring items at the meeting. Still try to get the card readers complete and also website changed to be able to join or renew on our website. Bugs to be worked out. Thanks!

 

Here's a big one! The club now has our own gold bags the will be offered to be purchased from the club. There will be thee sizes and priced according to the spot price of gold being used to fill the the bags each month. See pic at the end of text of our new bags. Gold being used this time was from Nevada. There will be 1/4, 1/2 and one full gram bags available. All amounts were double weighted for accuracy in the amount shown on the bags. Please give us feedback on how you like or dislike them. I filled the bags myself. All comments please present them to myself for evaluation. Thanks! Beau will not be at the meeting this month . So Jeff and Carl will fill in for him. Thanks!

 

The clubs annual BBQ will be held next month at the same location out at Terry's place in South Jordan. Watch for post with updates for the event. Will be lot of hands on demos And BBQ'S to cook on . Will be tons of fun. Have a new shirt ordering person with Beau. Will give him a few sec at the meeting to explain. His first Name is Andrew. Thanks!

 

So the line up for the lecture this month will be presented by the DNR ABONDON MINE folks. And the title presented will be "STAY OUT! BE SAFE! STAY ALIVE! - HIDDEN DANGERS OF OLD MINES!" This will be a PowerPoint lecture with handouts to be taken home with if you like. They came out years ago and the lecture was amazing. Well all that hopefully needed to be covered was covered. If not let us know at the meeting.
